If you missed out on being Royal Blackheath’s Masters Mate, you get to go again on the Saturday of The Open. This time it’s a team sport.

Enter your team of four or just join a team. Then it’s the total of your best 3 stableford scores per hole from 4. The twist is your final team player is your pick from Saturday’s Open at Royal Portrush. Whatever they shoot under par we add as points to your team score. BEWARE - if they shoot over par, we deduct it!!

It's £10 per person entry (£5 to the Club Captain’s Charity and £5 to the prize pot). On the 1st tee before you play, your team randomly draws your ALLY at THE OPEN. Unhappy with your draw? Don’t worry. For another £30 (per team) you can pick Schauffele, Scheffler, Bryson, Rory or Rahm for your team. Or for £20 (per team) you can pick anyone else (these additional funds will all go to the Captain’s Charity). Your team posts its score. Go to the bar and get ready for the Summer Party with fingers crossed you chose your 5th team member wisely.

The Open Challenge is open to all 7-day and 7-day restricted members. It will be played off the composite tees. Book now via the Club Diary on the website or IG Member App from 8am Tuesday 8th July. Tee slots from 8am until 12.30pm. Prizes for winner and runners up.
